The Alaskan high kick was first used as a skill for hunting. It was used to send a message of hunting success or disaster accross the frozen, flat lands in Alaska. Like most of the N.Y.O. events it is used to help people become better hunters and to test ones agillity and strength like Alaskan ancestors did in the past.
